The staff was helpful and courteous, the breakfast offered was healthy with plenty of food. The room was brand-new and cool, had climate control, multi-channel TV and a writing table.

The room size was much smaller than I originally thought - and I immediately thought of those complaining about hotels in Japan when the size of this one was as small or even smaller, and yet this one was more expensive. Regardless, the amenities and service made up for the compact space, and the location was unbeatable.

Hale and Hearty Soups were a cozy bowl of heaven, while Tous Crepes and Malibu Farm were a sweet tooth's paradise.

The Fairfield Inn By Marriott in the Financial District offers great value for money. The location is fantastic, right beside the Hudson River and close to interesting restaurants in both the financial district and midtown. The basic amenities provided were satisfactory, with the room being cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. The breakfast, although served on disposable plates, included healthy food options and was a good way to start the day.

All in all, our stay at this hotel was satisfactory.
